THE Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra is arriving in Evesham on Saturday for a charity evening of popular classics.
The orchestra will be taking centre stage at The Evesham Arts Centre with music including Gilbert and Sullivan and the Last Night of the Prom's favourite Jerusalem.
Evesham's own concert pianist Marcel Zidani will make a special appearance during the evening as guest soloist.
Sue Sollis, founder of the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust, said: "We are delighted that Marcel and the Cheltenham Philharmonic Orchestra have agreed to donate their time and talent completely free of charge to help leukaemia patients.
"The concert promises to be a great event and I hope as many people as possible attend to raise the urgent funds needed.
"The Trust is funding specialised treatment and is supporting a major project undertaken by Cheltenham General Hospital to build an oncology treatment room for outpatients suffering from various forms of blood disorders, including leukaemia."
Tickets at £8 are available from Evesham Book Centre, Library Arcade, High Street, Evesham, telephone number 01386 45567.
