SNOOKER star Terry Murphy suffered a 5-1 Benson and Hedges Championship last 16 exit at the hands of Grimsby's Sean Storey.
The Kidderminster-based Northern Irish international made the sixth round in Mansfield.
Meanwhile, Bewdley professional Richard King reached the third round before losing 5-2 to world number 66 Paul Wykes.
He had previously whitewashed Dutchman Karan Chand 5-0 in his first match.
King failed to recover from losing the first two frames against Wykes although he insisted: "I thought I could still get back into it.
"I had enough chances but didn't pot the vital balls.
"I've got a big tournament in Scotland later this month so I'll be getting my head down on the practice table."
Ian Hurdman, who practices in Kidderminster, also fell at the third round stage, going down 5-3 to Leicester teenager Mark Selby.
