ON November 4 at my village church in Wolverley, I (along with many others) attended a service given by our vicar, the Rev Shilvock, in memory of loved ones lost over the last 12 months - myself having lost my husband three months ago.
The service is held each year and is very moving.
On the evening, the church was full, with bereaved mothers, fathers, grandparents, brothers, sisters and friends etc, and the vicar gave a lovely speech and read out the names of all those who had passed away.
Many of us were moved to tears and were brought tog-ether in grief.
I feel that it is a custom that should be spread to other parishes, as such an occasion helps people come to terms with the loss felt.
Many thanks to our vicar and to the people of Wolverley for making it such a memorable evening, and uniting our village.
