Worcester City's injury woes have deepened with the news that Darren Bullock is struggling to be fit for Saturday's FA Cup first round clash with Rushden & Diamonds.
The 32-year-old midfielder picked up a knee injury in the Dr Martens League Cup game against Rocester on Monday night to further hamper manager John Barton's plans for the St George's Lane clash.
"There are doubts about Bullock and he is currently receiving treatment," said Barton.
"We won't make a decision on his availability until as late as possible, but it is a setback. It just seems to be one thing after the other at the moment."
Midfielder Darren Middleton's sprained knee is improving, but Barton will wait until Saturday before deciding whether to risk the player.
"We don't want to jeopardise him long term with other important matches coming up, but it is improving and we will know more at training tonight."
Barton was confident that striker Phil Stant, who missed Monday's 2-0 victory against Rocester with an Achilles problem, will be fit for Saturday.
Worcester bookmaker Steve Mason, who has offices in Ombersley Road and Dines Green, is offering prices on the big match with City 4/1 for the win against Diamonds 8/15 and the draw 13/5.
Punters interested in predicting the score can get 10/1 for Worcester to win 1-0 or 6/1 for a Diamonds only goal victory.
For gamblers who think there could be a glut of goals, odds of 66/1 are available for Diamonds to win 5-0.
