THE experience of live theatre performed by a fledgling theatre company at an Inkberrow pub has proved to be a huge success.
All four performances of Strictly Missionary by Mouthpiece Theatre Company, which took place at The Bulls Head Inn last month, were a sell-out.
Rehearsals are now underway for Mouthpiece's second production, Mothers and Mistresses, a programme of three short plays exploring love, sex, innocence and death by playwright Helen Kelly, directed by Clare Smout.
Kept Woman is about Mary who finds herself unchaperoned on the threshold of womanhood and was a prize winner in Radio 4's First Bite competition.
Pru tells the tale of Pru and Bill who have been lovers for 15 years, but he has been married for even longer. At 65, Pru finally begins to wonder about 'the other woman.'
Blackberries features Eleanor whose looks have faded and her life is ebbing but she will not relinquish her grip on her children.
Mothers and Mistresses runs at the Inkberrow venue from Wednesday, November 28 until Saturday, December 1.
Tickets cost £7 from the box office on 01386 792233.
