THE Royal Mail's Kidderminster delivery office has moved to Crossley Retail Park under a deal sealed with the district council.
The office, which was based in The Sling, earmarked as part of the multi-million Weavers Wharf development, moved to its new home on Carpet Trades Way, on Monday.
Delivery office manager Ray Williams said: "The old delivery office was blocking a proposed retail development by the district council.
"As a result we have reached an agreement with them to part-fund our move to the new office which we hope will bring an even better service to the people of Kidderminster and an improved working environment for our staff."
The new office includes dedicated disabled parking bays for the first time and improved customer parking.
There are also 63 private PO boxes for customer use which can be accessed directly for collection of mail by customers.
It is hoped the move could lead to slightly earlier deliveries for some of the 35,056 customers in the area.
