I AGREE wholeheartedly with the remarks in the Evening News concerning fireworks.
Several days before November 5, people were letting bangers off from 6pm until nearly 11 o'clock.
The complex in which I live houses elderly people who like to go to bed at about 10.30pm.
I'm not a killjoy, as some people might think, as I have seven great grandchildren.
But their parents usually take them to an organised event, which is safer and much better.
I also feel that manufacturers should consider making fewer bangers. These terrify young children and pets.
I also feel shops should refuse to stock any fireworks until November 3. This would still give people time to build a bonfire if they so wished and still enjoy themselves.
