POLICE are treating a small fire at the former St John Fisher School as arson.
Fire crews were called to the school building in Loxley Close, Church Hill, at about 7.20pm on Monday.
Burning rubbish had been pushed through the letterbox of the school, causing minor damage to the door and smoke damage.
Witnesses are asked to call north east sector sergeant Neil Billingham on 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
St John Fisher School closed under the Redditch Review earlier this year, having been bought by Redditch Council.
It is set to be turned into a community centre.
