A DEVOTED Redditch mum who looks after her disabled son has been named Carer of the Month by a Birmingham-based company.
Pam Mace, of Woodrow South, was selected from the latest entries to the Wesleyan Carer of the Year Awards, launched by The Princess Royal in April to raise the profile of unsung heroes across the region.
Mrs Mace was nominated for her selfless devotion by her 26-year-old son Paul, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Mrs Mace's support and encouragement have enabled Paul, who wants to become a web designer, to live a full and happy life.
He has bowled with Disability Sport England for the last 12 years and won an achievement award in 1990 for his dedication to the sport.
Mrs Mace was presented with a framed certificate and £200 vouchers.
