REDDITCH theatre group Break a Leg's Music Maker project will celebrate its first birthday with a performance at Arrow Vale Community Sports College next week.

The project was launched at the end of October 2000 with a grant of £56,950 from the National Foundation for Youth Music.

It has since gone from strength to strength, with achievements which include the recording, with other members of Break a Leg, of a CD.

This will be released on the evening of the performance, Saturday, November 24.

Music Maker's project manager Cathy Moss said she was keen to attract as wide an audience as possible to the venue.

The project manager added there were some workshop spaces available for youngsters aged seven to 18.

Tickets for the performance cost £3.50 for adults, £2.50 (concessions) and £10 for a family ticket from Heather at the box office on 63002.
