DARLINGTON started to get their season back on track last Saturday when they edged to a 1-0 home Third Division victory over struggling Oxford United.
It ended a disappointing run of five games without a win plus a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Scunthorpe in the LDV Vans Trophy.
It was also the first win for new boss Tommy Taylor, who succeeded Gary Bennett in the Feethams hotseat last month.
Jan Molby's men lost 2-0 at Darlington in their second outing of the season.
The outcome hinged on a controversial penalty followed by a sending-off.
Harriers defender Parfait Medou-Otye was adjudged to have pushed Barry Conlon and Mark Ford stepped up to put The Quakers 1-0 ahead. Danny Mellanby made it 2-0 and Harriers' misery was complete when Medou-Otye was sent off for lunging at Barry Conlon.
One player Molby fears is 24-year-old midfielder Neil Wainwright, who cost £50,000 from Sunderland.
"He's got real pace and he can cause you problems," said Molby.
Wainwright has notched three goals so far this season, one less than joint leading scorers Conlon, Ford and Mellanby.
It was new signing Brian Healy, however, who was Darlington's match winner on Saturday when he came off the bench to notch their all-important goal in the 74th minute.
