THE ever popular Midlands Musical Theatre Group is following the success of last year's show, Thank You For The Music, with a new production aiming even higher, Reach For The Stars.
"Our intention is to give a star-studded evening with music, singing, dancing and comedy to brighten the winter skies," said spokesman Paul Barker.
"We are including all kinds of music to suit all tastes, many of which you will recognise as songs made famous by such star performers as the Beatles, Bay City Rollers, David Essex, Freddie Mercury, Carpenters, Perry Como, Barry Manilow, Nat King Cole and many more.
"We will also be including a number of tunes from popular musicals, and this year, a snatch of opera.
"Our comedy team, headed by Barry North, will keep you laughing and our dancers will set your feet tapping.
"Our glamourous finale will turn to the music generated by stars of the fabulous 40s, with songs from the wonderful films of Fred and Ginger, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin - but we mustn't give too much away.
"For our 24th show, we are trying to maintain the well-tried and loved format but make the presentation just a little bit different," he said.
The MMTG was formed in 1978 by Robert Wilson and has gone from strength to strength. It has been entertaining audiences since then, and also uses its shows to to raise money for worthy causes.
The show is at Malvern's Festival Theatre from Monday to Saturday, November 24, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets, £9-£11, are on 01684 892277.
