SOME members of Worcester's workforce have decided their managers need locking up.

So far, 15 willing - and not so willing - volunteers have promised to get themselves arrested for the Royal National Institute for the Blind's Jail and Bail fund-raising event next month.

"Policemen" from Paragon Security will be handcuffing city bosses and reading them their rights before being arrested on mock charges on Wednesday, December 5.

They will then be taken by vehicle or marched through Worcester's streets to do their time and be hot on the heels of their bail money using their mobile phones.

Auctioneer and Bargain Hunter star Phillip Serrell, Robert Newey, of Potter Newey and Southco's managing director Andrew Molloy have all put their names forward.

Others willing to be locked up for cash, with the promise of a champagne lunch, should contact Christine Hopkins on 01562 637956 or Liz Harris on 01299 405838.
