A PROJECT aimed at helping parents with problem teenagers in Worcester is appealing for volunteers to help with future initiatives.
RPS Rainer, the charity which runs New Ventures, is looking for more people to help with a new programme it is hoping to set up in the city.
It looks at teen culture and behaviour and tackles problems such as bullying, drink and drugs and how to cope with challenging or out-of-character behaviour.
"We've had a great response from parents in Worcester," said Davina Phillips, the parenting programme co-ordinator.
Volunteers
"The parents we've worked with really enjoyed meeting others who are experiencing similar problems with their teenagers.
"It helped them see they are not alone."
Volunteers for the programme will receive training and support in preparation for the weekly classes, which run over a period of five weeks in the day and evening.
The charity hopes that volunteers will then go on to help parents arrange and run support groups once the programme has come to an end.
Volunteers should have experience of working with families and children. Anyone interested should contact Davina Phillips on 01905 731831.
