FURTHER to the debate on the new refuse collection practice, I am in complete agreement with several of your correspondents.
Now that our domestic rubbish has to be placed on the end of our property, why do refuse collectors insist on gathering it into piles on the pavement?
These piles of rubbish bags are often blocking people's access to their driveways and alleyways. Mothers with pushchairs are also having difficulties to pass by safely.
As for the free refuse bags that are thrown over our property, these bags can cause an accident should the wind blow them in the path of a moving vehicle.
