A BEREAVED Droitwich woman, who set up a charity fund when her son died, has sent a heartfelt thanks to the people who supported a fundraising event.
Mandie Grimley, from Chawson, organised a sponsored walk to raise money for Ben's Fund.
It was set up in memory of her seven-week-old baby who died of a heart condition in the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital, in Birmingham, last year.
The walk, which took place in September, raised £2,200 which will go towards buying life-saving equipment for the hospital's intensive care unit.
Fourteen people walked the 25-mile route along the canal from the hospital to the Railway Pub, in Kidderminster Road, Droitwich.
Mrs Grimley said: "Saying thanks to all the people who took part, helped us along the way and sponsored us just doesn't seem enough."
She hopes to raise £10,000 for the hospital.
