A REDDITCH county councillor has spoken of the need for children to have two parents at home and for both, if young, to be trained to cope.
Tom Wareing spoke after a meeting of Worcestershire County Council's Children and Young People Panel which is formulating ideas which could eventually see county support for young parents.
Mr Wareing spoke on what he says are the root causes of many social problems and said good parenting could help prevent them in later life.
Mr Wareing cited Redditch-based charity Home Start as an example of a good support service for parents in the town and said more schemes like this were needed.
Surestart is another initiative for children started recently in Redditch.
