LARKIN joined Harriers on a month's loan on Friday, September 14, but suffered a dead leg in training and lasted only 45 minutes on his debut against Plymouth.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers man continued to develop steadily for his club last term, mostly featuring in the reserves where he was a regular scorer.
Dundalk-born Larkin had two outings for the first team as a substitute and also featured for Republic of Ireland U-18s during the campaign.
The pacy young striker notched three goals in four games this season for Wolves second string.
Boss Jan Molby is hoping he can provide much-needed goals when he recovers from injury and he got off the mark at Macclesfield with his first strike in the Football League.
