KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are today facing up to the prospect of their Nationwide League Division Three clash against Luton Town at Aggborough on December 1 being hit by an all-out strike by players.

The Professional Footballers' Association has issued strike notices to all Premiership and Nationwide League clubs warning that industrial action will take place the weekend after next.

Kidderminster's media manager Steve Thomas said: "From our point of view we'll plan for our match against Luton to go ahead, unless we hear otherwise. I'd imagine we'll get some communication from the Football League today."

Harriers anticipate a good attendance for the visit of high-flying Luton who are pushing hard for an immediate return to the Second Division.

Talks on the dispute with the Premier League over television money broke down last night despite both sides offering compromise solutions.

The PFA is seeking 5%, or £36 million a year, from the TV deals agreed by the Premier League, Football League and Football Association.

If the strike went ahead, it would obliterate a packed programme of weekend fixtures.

"We have been left with absolutely no alternative to consider strike action because of the very patronising and arrogant way we have been treated by the Premier League," said PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor.

"We have never said we want a bigger share -- we've even looked to compromise -- but they still say what we are doing is illegal."
