WORCESTER City manager John Barton is waiting to hear if attempts to boost his squad following their FA Cup exit have been successful.
Barton has approached up to six players with a view to a move to City.
He said: "On Saturday and Sunday I made several firm enquiries regarding players and am waiting for a response. We've had chats with the board in terms of new players and there's common ground and from my point of view we have to move forward with the resources we have available but without being silly."
Several first teamers are set to be included in tonight's Central Conference clash with Burton Albion at St George's Lane (7.45). Allan Davies, Paul Carty, Mark Shepherd, Lee Goodman, Jamie Hyde and goalkeeper Paul Wyatt could all feature.
City lost their unbeaten record in the Midland Floodlit Youth League last night, going down 3-2 at leaders Wellington with Richard Tompkins and Liam McDonald on target.
