TALENTED young musicians from two town colleges will be performing at Huntingdon Hall on Friday at the prestigious Worcestershire Young Musician of the Year Awards.
Adam Evans, 15, of Arrow Vale Community High School, will perform Andrew Lloyd Webber's Variations, better known as the theme from The South Bank Show, in the solo section of the event.
The Year 11 GCSE music student, who plays the electronic and theatre organ, clarinet and saxophone, was nominated to take part in the competition by the school's head of music Jan Scarrott.
In the ensemble section, Kingsley College's Alex Bate, Matthew Cater, Phil Collins, Nick Ebanks and Matthew Harris, collectively known as the By-Products, will be performing When I Come Around by Green Day.
The competition, compered by Mark Devlin, of BBC Hereford and Worcester, will be recorded live and broadcast on Thursday, December 27, at 12.05pm.
The event, organised by Worcestershire Arts Education with BBC Hereford and Worcester, starts at 7pm and entry is by £2 programme only.
