RAVENSBANK First School is one of seven in the borough to benefit from a successful lottery bid which will ultimately provide a wider variety of activities for youngsters.
Staff at the Church Hill school will undergo training, specialist coaches will be drafted in and new sports equipment provided thanks to TOPSPORT, a national initiative to involve children in more sporting activities, and Redditch Sports Development Unit.
The equipment was presented to the school on Monday by the sports development unit, which has received more than £10,000 of speciality sports equipment for more than 20 schools and community groups across the town in the past five years.
