YOUNGSTERS at Lucy Locket Nursery used their creative skills to help the Children In Need appeal, writes Melina Cannon.
The children, aged from 12 months to four, used the Pudsey Bear logo to create coasters and place mats which their parents then had the chance to buy.
FOUR Woodfield Middle School pupils who managed to keep quiet for 24 hours raised about £90.
Gemma Morgan, 10, Hannah Blythe, 11, Danielle Chedgzoy, 10, and Louise Bradbury, 10, took part in a sponsored silence.
PUPILS at town schools helped raise hundreds of pounds by making smile sticks to raise a smile, the theme of this year's appeal.
St Luke's, Harry Taylor and Holyoakes Field first schools, Birchensale Middle School and Trinity High School all took part and for every smile stick raised, Nuneaton-based catering company SPC donated 50p.
Redditch-based communications giant AT&T also helped meet the £307 target by guessing how many sweets were in a tube and taking part in a raffle to win a bear similar to mascot Pudsey.
