A PREGNANT girl from Worcester who hid a concoction of drugs in her bra as she tried to gain entrance to a nightclub has been given a final chance to get her life back on track.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found with 19 tablets of MDMA - the principal ingredient in ecstasy - as well as three cannabis "joints" and a bag of cannabis resin on her after being searched at Birmingham's Cue Club in April.
But magistrates in Droitwich gave the seven-and-a-half months pregnant girl one last chance yesterday after hearing she had kicked her drug habit and was "focused" on the birth of her baby.
She also faced charges of breaching a supervision order, theft, criminal damage and failing to surrender to bail, which she admitted.
Martha Recordon, defending, said the girl became heavily involved in drugs at a young age.
"It's why she has offended," she said. "But she's been off the drugs since the summer and has no intention of going back on them.
"She's aware her life is about to change with the birth of her baby and finally has the family support she needs."
Magistrates said they hoped her chaotic lifestyle was now over and put her on a 12-month supervision order, fined her £10 and £100 compensation.
The drugs were ordered to be destroyed.
