CLARIENETTIST Katherine Spencer tops the bill for Chipping Campden Music Society's next concert.
Accompanied by Sam Heywood on the piano, the evening is due to take place next Tuesday.
Katherine has given solo recitals at the Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Manchester's Free Trade Hall and many major concert halls in France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, as well as regular radio performances.
With a special interest in contemporary music she has set up a composition competition with her Galliard Wind Quintet.
She has also a busy chamber musician life, playing with several ensembles,including the Amadeus, Belcea and Emperor quartets.
Among her many awards is the recent Star Award from the Countess of Munster Trust, which is sponsoring her Campden appearance.
Sam Haywood achieved early success at the age of 13 in the BBC Young Musician of the Year and has already performed to high critical acclaim in many of Europe's major concert halls.
In Campden the pair are due to play Mozart's Sonata in E minor, Brahm's Sonata in E flat,Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Three Pieces of Stravinsky, Sonatina by Horowitz and Sonata in F, a new work by Shipston composer Richard Emms.
The music-making is due to get under way in Campden School Hall, at 8pm.
Tickets (£8 or 50p for under 16s) are available at the door.
