THE AGM was held on November 8 when Mrs Masters, a WI advisor, spoke of the beginnings of the organisation.
Hanbury, one of the oldest WIs in Worcestershire, dates back to 1917. Following the election of the new committee, Audrey Allen read a letter which was written by her aunt in 1910 giving an account of the TSS Perides on its journey from Australia to England and the subsequent rescue of about 450 passengers and crew.
Joyce Pinfield was the speaker in October who skilfully demonstrated the art of flower arranging. A vote of thanks was given by Audrey Allen.
