A NIGHT raider caused £2,000 of damage to two charity shops in the Stourport High Street, magistrates heard.

Police took his clothing from him and tests found broken glass in it, said Owen Beale, prosecuting at Kidderminster.

Peter May, 20, of New Street, Stourport, admitted smashing windows at the British Red Cross and the Imperial Cancer Research shops and damaging clothing in the Red Cross premises.

He was bailed for a pre-sentence report.
