AN incident in which the windscreen of a car was smashed by an object hurled from another vehicle is being treated as racially motivated by police.
The victim, who is Asian, was showered with broken glass but was uninjured in the attack, which happened as he was driving along Stourport Road by the Waterfall pub.
The man, who has previously reported incidents of racial harassment, was driving towards Stourport when he saw a hand emerge from the rear offside window of a car coming from the opposite direction. Seconds later, his windscreen shattered.
A police spokeswoman said the incident had been reported as having a possible racial motive and was therefore being taken very seriously.
Anyone with any information about this incident, which took place at 6pm on Saturday , is asked to contact Kidderminster police on 01562 820888.
