A SECOND-HALF double from leading scorer Lee Booth eased Swifts into the next round of the Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup following a 5-0 victory over Bromyard Town on Tuesday.
But they also needed a five-star display from teenage goalkeeper Adrian Hipkins to keep them in the game at times as the visitors threatened to cause an upset.
Caretaker manager Hackett gave starts to fit again striker Langford, Steve Ulfig, Hipkins and himself.
A Lea Shaw goal on 37 minutes was all that separated the sides at the break.
But it could have been a different story had Hipkins not pulled off good saves to deny Luke Willetts and Nathan Owen.
There was another near miss for the visitors on 53 minutes when an Owen effort was well saved before Simon Marsh gave Swifts a second on 66 minutes following a strong run by Ulfig.
Booth added his name to the scoresheet on 74 minutes, volleying home from 12 yards, and then quickly added his second from the spot.
Swifts left the best until last - a sweeping move involving Ulfig, Booth and Asa Charlton which ended with Ulfig curling a 15-yard effort beyond the keeper.
Swifts: Hipkins 9, Hackett 7, Ulfig 6, Southwick 6, Mulders 7, Shaw 6, Cowley 8, Cooper 6 (Charlton 61, 8), Marsh 8 (Davies 80), Booth 8, Langford 7. Subs (not used): Townsend, Knight, Nicholls.
STAR MAN: Adrian Hipkins.
