PERSHORE College successfully launched the PGC (Pershore Group of Colleges) Football Academy in September.
Twenty students now enjoy the benefits of its two-year full-time programme combining football skills with a package of academic, sporting and sports coaching qualifications.
The course not only offers students the opportunity of gaining FA recognised qualifications, but also the chance to coach in the USA.
As part of the course, PGC Football Academy tutors and students have issued invitations to secondary schools in the area inviting pupils to take part in a football coaching day at the College.
Pershore College has been delighted by the response - over 200 pupils (male and female) are expected to take part in the sessions.
The first of these coaching sessions was staged at Pershore College campus yesterday when pupils were able to brush up on their skills throughout the day.
The Academy has been so successful this year, that plans are now under way to launch a Ladies Football Academy next September.
