RISING Wyre Forest moved up to fourth in the West Midlands Division One South with an emphatic 4-0 win over a young Malvern Town Reserves.
Andy Oakes gave Forest the lead in the first minute when a long ball was flicked on by Richard Hughes and he steered it past the Malvern goalkeeper.
Man of the match Mark Allen laid on a second goal for Oakes who made no mistake from close range.
A fine individual run by Richard Costello found Hughes and he smashed in from close range for Forest's third.
After the break. Forest made the game safe when Hughes added his second, cutting in from the bye-line and finding the right-hand corner of the net with a low shot.
Jack Wassell and Matthew Beard were substituted by Mark Meese and Stuart Brogan.
And Brogan laid on an easy chance but with Oakes and Hughes both leaving it for each other, the chance was lost.
Malvern should have scored a consolation goal but Barry Hughes' header from close range went wide.
Fixture, Saturday: Sedgley White Lion v Wyre Forest (kick-off 2.45pm, players to meet at Horsefair Caf at 12.30pm).
