BEWDLEY'S return to West Midlands One South action heralded their first victory for four weeks when they defeated Bustleholme 5-2 at Ribbesford Meadow.
Though minus six regular players through injury or suspension, Bewdley went ahead after 25 minutes.
A Chris Hough through-ball was latched onto by Grant Gibbs who lobbed the advancing goalkeeper.
After a spell coaching in America, Dale Evans made an impressive debut in the side.
Evans floated in a cross which deceived the Bustleholme goalkeeper to put Bewdley two up.
Just before half-time, the young visitors pulled one back when their centre-forward out-jumped John Lawley to head home.
But mid-way through the second half Bewdley increased their lead when Neil Turford headed in Paul Field's corner.
Bustleholme again pulled one back when home goalkeeper Ian Harvey could not collect a cross and the ball was bundled over the line.
Bewdley then brought on Ben Davis for his debut but it was a short-lived appearance as he was sent off eight minutes later for raising an arm to an opponent.
Then Paul Hyde came on and forced Bustleholme into conceding an own goal.
Bewdley's 10 men made the game safe when Field split the defence with an inch-perfect ball to Gibbs who made no mistake for his 13th goal of the season.
