A BRAVE wheelchair-bound Kidderminster woman has raised £400 for a town day centre after going on an action-packed adventure holiday.
Thirty-year-old Hayley Andrews, who suffers from an immune system disorder, travelled to the Pyrenees in France for a sponsored holiday to raise cash for Sandalwood Resource Centre in Comberton Road, where she spends one day a week.
And she praised coverage of her adventures in the Shuttle/Times & News that "tugged at some folks' hearts" and helped boost the total raised.
Hayley, who lives at the Woodlands Assessment Unit in Rifle Range Road, has had the debilitating condition for five years.
Paragliding, horse-riding, canoeing, dog sledding and white water rafting were just some of the highlights of her trip earlier this year.
She hailed the £400 raised as "brilliant" and thanked everyone who contributed to the cause or sponsored her.
