TWO Kidderminster College students took centre stage in Bridgnorth yesterday in a revival of the 1970s musical Rockafella at the town's Theatre On The Steps.
The part of Bev is Laura Davenport's first role at the theatre after being spotted by the theatre production team at a talent contest, while Erin Draper plays her best friend Jackie.
Both are drama students at Kidderminster College.
They have been rehearsing since September.
Laura said: "I was very pleased to get the role - it's a great part and gives me a chance to sing and dance in a show with plenty of good songs."
And Erin, who has previously appeared at the theatre in singing and dancing roles in Midsummer Magic, added: "It's been very hard work but I have enjoyed rehearsing and working with all the other people in Rockafella."
The cast includes 10 other young people and several adult roles.
A theatre spokesman said Rockafella is "full of lively music and dance and all the romance and action and comedy that will have the audiences laughing and crying and dancing and singing".
The show runs until Saturday and from next Wednesday until Saturday, December 1.
Tickets are priced £6 and £4 and are available from the box office by telephoning 01746 763257.
