WORK by three new playwrights will be performed in Cleobury Mortimer in an evening of comedy and drama - aimed strictly at adults.
Cleobury Players are presenting Mix and Match, three one-act plays written by "comparatively new playwrights", at the town's Lacon Childe School on November 30 and December 1.
Group secretary Mavis Cartwright said the aim was to "keep their repertoire fresh and different and encourage new talent".
Comedy and pathos are some of the touches in Maeve Peach's Marmirage, which is set in a nightclub, while Don't Call Fiona by Don West, "explores what happens to a blissful menage-a-trois when something nasty is happening elsewhere". And Paul Beard's comedy Swingers, set in a high-rise flat, explores the misunderstandings and embarrassing situations that arise out of wife-swapping.
Proceedings begin at 7.30pm both evenings, for tickets call Paul French on 01299 270010.
