ELDERLY and disabled shoppers were given a festive shopping treat last night.
Shops in Worcester stayed open especially so people with mobility problems could browse without having to deal with the Christmas rush of shoppers.
The event is organised annually by the Worcester City Volunteer Bureau. Disabled and elderly people from all over the area are invited.
Residents from Mowbray Nursing Home in Malvern are regular attenders at the event, and matron Frances Ranson said they had a great time.
"Everyone enjoyed the evening very much. It is lovely for them to be able to do what they consider normal," she said.
