CLOTHES and clean drinking water are to be shipped to disaster victims after being donated by pupils at St Mary's CE School, Longdon.
The children filled three "aquaboxes", which they purchased from the Rotary Club, with clothes and equipment and water purification tablets. The large plastic boxes will now be sent to a depot in Cheshire, from where they can be dispatched wherever they are needed.
Brendan Lawler, of Tewkesbury Rotary Club, accepted the boxes from headteacher Lynn Pheonix, on Wednesday (November 21).
"Each box has a serial number and the school will be able to ring up and find out where they went, which will be good for the pupils," said Mr Lawler.
