MALVERN pupil Charlotte Lloyd enjoys school so much that she hasn't missed a day in six years.

The Year 12 Dyson Perrins student is currently studying for her A-Levels and has not been absent since joining the school in 1996.

The 16-year-old sixth former has had a few minor ailments but never anything serious enough to stop her going to school.

"I've had the odd cold," she said. "But there's no point sulking around at home feeling sorry for yourself."

She attributed her perfect attendance to the fact that when she is feeling unwell she tries to go to bed early so she can be active the next morning.

"If you get up and do something, you feel a lot better," she said. "You just get bored if you stay in bed all day."

Her love for the school is also a factor. "I just enjoy coming here," she said.

As for avoiding enforced absence through sickness she added: "I guess I've just been lucky."

Dyson Perrins assistant head Wendy Bevan said Charlotte's immaculate record had been uncovered during a routine attendance audit.

She added: "She hasn't missed a day since she started. No sickness. No holidays. Perfect attendance!"
