PHIL Robinson expects to learn a lot about his Hereford United players from their Nationwide Conference clash at Northwich Victoria tomorrow (3pm).
The Bulls, still buoyant from their FA Cup giant-killing feat against Wrexham last week, come back down to earth with a vital match against Jimmy Quinn's side.
How the players react tomorrow will be a crucial test of character according to caretaker manager Robinson.
"It is always hard to get focused after such a big game and all the excitement and euphoria that went with the Wrexham match with all the press attention," he said.
"It will be a big test for their characters to see if they get down and do their jobs and not rest on their laurels from last week.
"It is certainly a game that I might find out a lot of things about my players."
Robinson is set to make changes with captain, Ian Wright, Scott Goodwin and John Snape ruled out through suspension.
Matt Clarke returns after missing the Wrexham game, while defender Mark Williams, who has not started for 10 matches, could be drafted in alongside Tony James but Robinson has several options up his sleeve.
"There may well be a few changes because of suspensions and Williams may be in for a recall in place of Ian Wright.
"But there have been some good performances in training and there are a number of players who can play in a variety of positions and different formations so I haven't decided yet."
New signing Alex Kevan, aged 20, has joined the club from Burnley on a non-contract basis, after impressing in a recent trial.
"He's been on trial at a few league clubs but I managed to persuade him to come here," said Robinson.
"He could be in contention because he's a midfielder and John Snape and Scott Goodwin are both suspended."
Scott Cooksey, who has been out for several months with a wrist injury could be given the green light to resume light training when he sees a specialist next week.
