KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are hoping Colin Larkin will recover from a hamstring injury to help boost their depleted attack for tomorrow's Nationwide League Division Three clash against Rushden & Diamonds at Aggborough (3pm).

Harriers are already without front-runners Ian Foster, Drewe Broughton and Tony Bird because of suspensions.

Striker Larkin, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, had to be substituted during the second half of Kidderminster's 1-0 win at Lincoln City on Tuesday.

Manager Jan Molby said: "He came off straight away when he felt the hamstring go. It think he's only 50-50 at the moment of being fit for tomorrow.

"It's obviously not ideal with us being without three strikers already. He relies on his pace and that is obviously directly related to his hamstring, so unless he's 100 per cent a player of that nature can't play."

If Larkin fails to recover in time he is likely to be replaced by Sam Shilton or Andy Ducros with Stewart Hadley coming in on the substitutes' bench.

Foster completes a three-game ban tomorrow for being sent off in Harriers' LDV Vans Trophy match at Chesterfield last month while Bird starts a three-game spell on the sidelines for being dismissed in a reserve match against the Spireites.

Broughton, who has missed Harriers' last two outings with 'flu, is banned for one game for picking up five bookings.

Molby is confident that Kidderminster can make it four league wins in a row by ending their old Nationwide Conference rivals Rushden's unbeaten run of 12 Division Three games.

Harriers go into the match on the back of victories over Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient and Lincoln, their best winning run since joining the Football League, and Molby said: "It's going to be an interesting game.

"Rushden finally got themselves into the Football League and they went in with the team that won the Conference last season.

"Their manager (Brian Talbot) pretty quickly realised that he needed a little bit more. He's brought in some good experienced players to add to the squad because he felt the Conference champions as they were would struggle. I think he's been proven right.

"He's brought in better players at a cost. It hasn't been cheap to bring them in, but he's got good players and at the moment they are having a good run.

"It's certainly one for us to look forward to. I've got a feeling they will bring quite a few supporters because of their recent good run."
