A NEW ballet production of Romeo and Juliet will visit Bromyard's Conquest Theatre on Saturday, December 9, at 7.30pm.
The performance by Cwmni Ballet Gwent will utilise the dance potential of Hector Berlioz's momentous score Romeo et Juliette.
To create the routines, choreographer Darius James has taken inspiration from the vivid characters caught up in the breathless excitement of Shakespeare's classic tale.
The performance is described as fusing eloquent moments of pure classicism with flashes of contemporary characterisation, successfully blending the old and new in a heartbreaking and beautiful adaptation of the most famous love story of all time.
Colourful costumes designed by Yvonne Williams combine elements of the finest classical ballet with the most contemporary style, a mix that has brought critical success to her designs for previous Cwmni Ballet Gwent shows.
Tickets are £10 from 01885 488575.
