WEST Malvern were able to field a full squad for the first time in four weeks and they introduced two young players to the side, Graham Thomas and Mark Amott, who both had splendid games in this Worcester Saturday Division One fixture.
LAMB & FLAG 4, WEST MALVERN 4
The West opened well, playing some good attacking football and went in front after 20 minutes when a through ball found Paul Parry, whose cross to Lee Tracey saw him score from 10 yards.
West continued to play attacking football and were rewarded when once again a move on the right hand side involving Paul Parry allowed Will Hardy to cross for Lee Tracey to grab his second goal.
The second half followed a similar pattern to the first but gradually the Lamb and Flag got more into the game and reduced the score to 2-1. Once again the West pushed forward and the same combination involving Paul Parry and Will Hardy resulted in once again Lee Tracey completing his hat-trick.
The Lamb and Flag pulled a goal back and as the West defence began to look untidy the Lamb and Flag equalised.
With ten minutes remaining a through ball found Will Hardy who chipped the keeper and then walked the ball into the empty net but again the Lamb came back and scored following a goal mouth scramble.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the West, sponsored by Amey, entertain high flyers Inkberrow Reserves, players meet dressing rooms at 1.30pm.
