A LEIGH Sinton off-road racer has taken up a new challenge for this season and is already making his mark.
Andrew Prosser of Interfields, Leigh Sinton, and co-driver Simon Hemsley are members of the Mid-West Off-Roaders club which is a 4 x 4 trialling club driving over challenging ground between lanes.
Andrew came first in class last year after finishing second in class the previous year.
Driving a modified 3.5 V8 Range Rover, Andrew and Simon have now moved onto Comp safari which is timed trialling, over rough ground at speed as fast as you dare.
Andrew said: "In only our second race we came second in class and in others we still managed to complete the race, which is a feat in itself."
Last week's event at Farley Quarry, Bridgnorth was filmed by Sky Discovery for a programme they are showing next year.
Due to their early success the duo are now looking for more sponsors, SJ Prosser & Son (Decorators) and Parry's Signs are their main sponsors at the moment. Anyone interested can contact Andrew on 07774 188697 (m).
