PROLIFIC Lee Booth notched two more goals to give Stourport Swifts a 2-0 Dr Martens League Western Division victory over struggling Cirencester Town.
But while Swifts' leading scorer was taking no prisoners at one end, the Stourport goal led a charmed life at the other.
The young West Country outfit squandered three good chances that would have given them a crucial victory on Tuesday.
Matt Southwick and Adam Nicholls had efforts easily saved for Swifts early on, while home keeper Rob Clarke blocked efforts from David Godley and Toby Clarke.
But Booth netted the opener on 35 minutes, calmly placing the ball in the bottom corner after the visitors failed to clear Alex Cowley's cross.
He could have added a second two minutes into the second half but was denied by the keeper's outstretched leg and this seemed to lift Cirencester.
David Gee curled an effort wide from 20 yards before missing an open goal from two yards.
And striker Godley was another at fault, having a shot cleared off the line by Quentin Townsend and then miskicking with just keeper Rob Clarke to beat.
Having been forced to defend for much of the half, Booth brought a satisfactory end to the proceedings with his second goal in the final minute.
Simon Marsh surged upfield and picked out his strike partner on the right who then cut inside and unleashed a fierce shot beyond the reach of Sawyer.
Booth's goals took his season's tally to 14 but, more importantly, hoisted Swifts up to third.
Chippenham could have knocked them to fourth with a win or draw over Redditch last night.
