STOURPORT Swifts take a seven-match unbeaten home run into Saturday's Dr Martens League Western Division clash with Swindon Supermarine.
But their below-par away form cost them with Saturday's FA Cup third qualifying round exit at Hucknall and a 1-0 league defeat at Bilston on Tuesday.
Swifts now have two games at Walshes Meadow - with Cirencester visiting next Tuesday - to bounce back.
And assistant boss Gary Whild admitted: "We were beaten by the better team at Bilston and haven't had two defeats back to back for some time.
"We just lacked a bit of quality as the work-rate and commitment were there.
"But a couple of wins now would see us bounce back into the top six.
"However, Swindon seem to be only losing by the odd goal and Cirencester are well capable of getting results.
"If you can keep winning your home games, you'll always be there or thereabouts.
"The three at the back and our keeper haven't done a lot wrong all season."
Utility man Willie Dunn is struggling with a sore knee which is down to tendonitis.
But Alex Cowley should be back in the starting line-up after an impressive substitute appearance at Bilston.
Tuesday's 1-0 scoreline flattered Swifts who could have lost by more but only conceded to Leon Jackson's 15-yarder on 26 minutes.
Earlier, Adrian Baddams curled a shot wide with keeper Rob Clarke stranded before Leon Brown had an effort cleared off the line by Jan Mulders.
Lee Booth produced a disappointing effort after Cowley's jinking run early in the second half before Bilston regained control.
Jason Smith had an effort blocked 10 minutes from time and then forced Clarke into a good save in the closing seconds.
Swifts: Clarke 7, Ulfig 6 (Harvey 76), Davies 6, Townsend 6 (T Nicholls 83), Mulders 7, Shaw 6, Dunn 6 (Cowley 37, 7), Marsh 8, Southwick 7, Booth 5, Charlton 7.
STAR MAN: Simon Marsh.
