SWIFTS boss Rod Brown paid tribute to veteran striker Tim Langford after seeing his side play out a 1-1 draw with fellow high-fliers Atherstone in the Dr Martens Western Division.
The evergreen Langford came off the bench and terrorised the visitors with his probing runs and neat touches.
Brown said: "I was pleased with Tim when he came on.
"I was happy with the start we made but, overall, I didn't think it was a very good game."
Swifts went ahead on 22 minutes when leading scorer Lee Booth rose to head home a Lea Shaw free-kick.
Atherstone, who had looked sharper early on, were level on 36 minutes through a hotly disputed goal from Emeka Ejiofor.
The striker appeared to handle the ball before firing past Rob Clarke in the home goal.
There was little to choose between the sides at the start of the second period but Swifts were handed a golden opportunity to take control of the match.
Ejiofor hobbled off after Adders boss Steve McKenzie had used all his substitutes.
The arrival of Langford injected new passion into Swifts but the visitors held on for a share of the points.
