It was business as usual at Walshes Meadow where Swifts won their first ever Western Division game with a 2-0 victory over Shepshed Dynamo.
Few gave manager Brown and his players much of a chance before the season began but Saturday's result will make a number of managers sit up and take notice.
And it was appropriate that both goals came from striker Booth, the Worcestershire hot-shot whose goals helped steer the side to the Midland Football Alliance title last term.
Booth had done little in an opening 20 minutes that saw the Leicestershire visitors have shots cleared from in front of goal.
But when he cleverly took a pass from the inspirational Alex Cowley on his chest, wrong-footing his marker in the process, the rest was a formality - first blood to the Swifts.
Shepshed's defensive frailties were nearly exposed 10 minutes later when Cowley pounced on a loose ball only to see his effort saved.
The young winger again went close 10 minutes into the second half, cutting in from the right before shooting into the side-netting.
At the other end, Clarke had to pull out saves in quick succession to deny Mike Lyons and Kirk Masters before Booth grabbed his second to seal Stourport's victory.
The striker rose to head a Shaw free-kick over the head of Dean Thomas in the Shepshed goal.
The win means Swifts now have an unbeaten league run stretching to 27 games.
Meanwhile, former Stourport striker and local lad Kerry Giddings bagged a spectacular hat-trick as Halesowen Town opened with a good 3-0 win over Gresley Rovers.
