A PETULANT player from Warndon Youth forced the abandonment of a Malvern League under 18 soccer match after he was sent off -- but then refused to move from his opponents' goal.
Tupsley Pegasus Juniors were 13-0 up at the time against Warndon Youth when the referee abandoned the match with 87 minutes gone on the clock.
Marvyn Amphlett, secretary of the Malvern League, said they were awaiting the referee's report before making a decision. "It's likely the points will be given to Tupsley bearing in mind the score and the time at which the match was abandoned," he said.
