THREE teenagers had to run for cover as they were shot at with a pellet gun.
Several youths were passing the youngsters in a car on Monday when one of them opened fire on the trio with an air rifle or ballbearing gun.
The boys, aged 13, 15 and 17, were walking along Worth Crescent in Stourport-on-Severn at 6.55pm when a pellet narrowly missed the legs of one of the boys.
''Fortunately none of the boys was injured in this completely unprovoked attack. Weapons of this kind really can cause nasty injuries,'' said Kidderminster Police spokeswoman Caroline Schubert.
She appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact Kidderminster police on 01562 820888.
