CHARITABLE Rotarians warmed the hearts of residents when they unveiled their Tree of Light.
The cedar tree, in Victoria Square, looked electric on Saturday following the grand switch on.
It's a symbol of love and hope for all those who will miss loved ones at Christmas
The money-spinning venture is being led by the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa -- Saltway and will collect cash for St Richard's Hospice, in Worcester.
People have been invited to sponsor lights on the tree in memory of a relative or friend.
The names of loved ones will feature on printed sheets, which will be updated each week, and put on show in the town library, opposite the tree.
Town mayor Maureen Lawley switched on the lights and the town's Salvation Army provided seasonal tunes.
Rotarian Peter McHugh said: "We were very pleased the ceremony went well, the level of support within the town so far has been fantastic.
"We hope to make a sizeable donation on behalf of Droitwich Spa and our thanks goes to all those who have supported the project, including corporate sponsorship."
To take part simply fill in the pledge form.
They are also available from the Advertiser's High Street office and Droitwich Post Office, St Richard's Hospice Shop and Lloyd's TSB in Victoria Square, where the donations and forms have to be returned to.
The festive feature will twinkle brightly until January 5.
